DALLAS, TEXAS –The Patriots officially got 2009 back on track with a huge 31-21 victory over the previously unbeaten Arizona Cardinals.
New England showcased a stingy defense for the second consecutive week, limiting the high-octane Cards offense to only one score in the second half. Meanwhile, Tom Brady looked more like 2007 Tom Brady than he has at any point this season, at one point connecting with Randy Moss and Ben Watson on back-to-back offensive plays for 75+ yard TDs.
Fred Taylor added a lovely 10 yard touchdown on a FB fake HB toss that caught the defense off guard, and the Pats D had a 4th-quarter TAINT to stick a fork in it.
Patriots go to 4-2.
